All of our musicians and singers, most of them busy professionals, have offered their services for free, and the extremely generous owners of Stone House are also providing a drinks reception at no cost to the organisers, leaving us in the very happy position of being able to say that 100% of the ticket price will go towards our planting fund (for 2016/17).

Our title for the concert is taken from A.E.Housman's poem "Loveliest of Trees" which has been set by a number of composers - our programme includes the George Butterworth setting. The music has been selected with trees, and the pastoral, in mind, and planning and preparations are well in hand for what promises to be a very memorable evening.

The venue, Stone House is also a significant part of the offering - very seldom open to the public, this stunning Grade II listed 18th century villa is the perfect setting for an intimate winter's evening concert. There is a nice write up about the house here

Hope to see you there!
